Blog Check

In addition to the blog check / progress review that we will do in our lesson on Monday there are also a few other things that you need to work on.

Before I outline this - a reminder of the research and planning mark scheme:

For Level 4  / A Grade

  • There is excellent research into similar products and a potential target audience.
  • There is excellent organisation of actors, locations, costumes or props
  • There is excellent work on shotlists, layouts, drafting, scripting or storyboarding.
  • Time management is excellent.
  • There is an excellent level of care in the presentation of the research and planning.
  • There is excellent skill in the use of digital technology or ICT in the presentation.
  • There are excellent communication skills.
None of your blogs are quite excellent yet!!!!!

To address this:

1. Regular - at least once a week time management updates which are clearly linked to your original action plan. If you're working to your plan great. If not, why not? Outline any problems that you've encountered and, more importantly how you've overcome them.

2.  You get an individual mark for your blog so simply adding a powerpoint my another group member is not acceptable. You need to some additional comments / analysis - make it yours in some way.

3. There needs to be a lot more evidence that you've planned for production e.g. risk assessments for each location, planning for filming (e.g. emails sent / facebook group messages)  and photographs of what you've filmed.

To boost your grade always try to justify your decisons my making links back to your research. E.g. we have chosen to use this clothing for our performer because it's connotes a sense of rebellion and we have found that this was a convention of our genre.......

Remember research informs production!
